Working principle
Washing Section
- Removes dirt, leaves, stones and surface contaminants from fresh tomatoes.
- Typically includes air bubble washers, nozzles or agitation systems.

Sorting Section
- Separates damaged or unripe tomatoes from good ones.
- Can be carried out by an automatic sorting system or by hand on a conveyor.
